Creative Labs
AN EXPERIMENTAL WORKSHOP
A space dedicated to the study of performance, intentional blocking, and the atmospheric interplay of light. Creative Labs is a testing ground for character-driven narratives—where the focus is not on the scale of production, but the execution of a moment.
Study 01: Character Rhythm
A study in non-linear environments and the timing of introduction. This project focused on the vital moments where the entry of a new character or a shift in delivery elevates the humor from a premise to a payoff. It was an exercise in capturing joy through crafting performance as a team and then performing editorial discipline to further elevate that humor.
Study 02: Editorial Agency & Perspective
An exploration of perspective and editorial agency. Utilizing a three-camera synchronicity, this study focused on honoring the raw performance of the talent while simultaneously elevating the comedic arc through the edit. It served as a definitive lesson in the freedom of the editorial room—where absolute control over the timing of cuts and transitions proves just how crucial the ‘invisible’ work of the editor is to the architecture of humor.
THEORETICAL FOUNDATION
King Arthur in Brexitland:
The Kid Who Would Be King
Senior Capstone Research | University Honors Program
B.A. English (Magna Cum Laude) | B.S. Statistics & Actuarial Science (Cum Laude)
An investigation into the recalibration of Arthurian myth within the landscape of Post-Brexit Britain. By analyzing the subversion of nationalist tropes and the resistance of traditional glorification, this research explores how ancient storytelling techniques are utilized to tackle contemporary anxieties. This study serves as the intellectual foundation for my directorial approach: the belief that every frame must be in conversation with the era it inhabits.
Performance & Character Studies (2026)
The Vignette Series
I am currently seeking collaborators in the Twin Cities acting community for a recurring series of high-intensity narrative vignettes. These 90-second studies are designed to focus on the raw honesty of performance through dynamic collaboration on set with the Director, and the technical precision of intentional blocking & camerawork. This is a laboratory for refining the director-actor relationship and building cinematic moments from the ground up.
